Great location and atmosphere along with a lovely tasty menu. One thing to improve on is speed of service which somehow feels massively delayed from ordering drinks to getting the food out - 40 mins to get the first drinks out and place has half full on a Saturday at lunch time. The place is situated in the heart of Wokingham with easy access, there are few places you can park around but all paid for and not guaranteed. Overall nice place but some specific feedback would go to the gentleman that brings food out as he asked who has a specific dish, told them 3 times but got distracted and places the plate in someone else’s front - I assume the business ‘behind the scenes’ causes this distraction but there’s always room for improvement.

A solid four out of five. Why? On the menu the roast beef was said to be served pink. It wasn’t unfortunately and overdone. Spuds were underdone. Mum loves gravy. So she asked for more. Waitress was kind enough to bring more but was also a little sarcastic, asking if she wanted a straw to go with it! Lol. The service was mostly attentive and friendly however. Food was served quickly.

We went to The Rose Inn yesterday to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday, the food was lovely, very tasty and piping hot and the portions were huge (most of us had roasts). The staff were amazing and so helpful, there were 11 of us so quite a big group and nothing was too much trouble for them. The place itself is so nice with a comfortable and warm atmosphere, I would definitely recommend here to anyone! We will be going back that’s for sure. A massive thank you to all the staff that served us and helped make my dads birthday meal special and easy ❤️
