We were sat outside on the terrace but you can only order food on the QR code on the table and not drinks so after we'd ordered the food I had to go to the bar to order drinks. I asked for 3 different drinks, of which they were missing ingredients for so were unable to make so whilst I was waiting for them to find something they could make my food had meanwhile been delivered to my table and since gone cold by the time I got back to the table from the bar. When we enquired how we got the heater to work in our booth we were told some of them didn't work. The staff were a misery and not that helpful. It was a disaster from start to finish and I didn't enjoy my visit at all

Went here today for a lunch and started of good, then went to the female toilets and was greeted with what looked like Saturday night still. Tights on the floor and tissues and one cubicle had stained sticky alcohol still, dryer had what looked like blood splats on it. Was very off putting as ordered food and the regret set in.burger fine, chips but the spoonful of coleslaw didn't look ok. Overall I would not come back here again.

Much better place to eat than the day before. Prices reasonable for York. Went for fish and chips as there wasn't much on the menu. Had a lovley crispy batter coating and proper chips. Also came with Tater sauce and mushy peas, which were quite dry but edible. Normal range of beers for a franchised pub.
