Peckham Rye’s old ticket office has been reborn as the Coal Rooms - a recent addition to South London's culinary scene, serving smokey treats from their bespoke charcoal grill.

Minimalist, timeless interiors occupy this Grade II listed building. The front of the space is a bar and coffee shop before the restaurant area featuring an open kitchen.

Sunday Lunch has all the trimmings at the Coal Rooms, with smoked meat being their speciality thanks to the in house robata. Choose from Celeriac, Jerusalem Artichoke, Squash & Comté Pressed Pavé, Half Wood-Roasted Suffolk Chicken, Dry-Aged Rump of Hereford Beef, Smoked Pulled Sussex Lamb or Beef Wellington. All the roasts are served with Roast Potatoes, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Hispi Cabbage, Carrots, Gravy and Yorkshire Pudding.

Coal Rooms is conveniently located directly next door to the entrance of Peckham Rye train station.
