Lovely place to stay, rooms are spacious and had a very large, comfortable bed. Lots of authentic charm about the building. Our room could have done with a slight update in some places and the crunching toilet can be disruptive, if you're not used to one but overall very nice room Staff were lovely and very helpful, took the time to make sure we were happy. The pub itself is excellent and again, seems to feel like your back in olden times. Fully recommend.

Well done Gary & team. Lovely quirky old building with modern fixtures & fittings. Fabulous dinner menu, the fish & chips are delicious, a ‘must have’ for every guest. Comfortable room and amenities. We’ll definitely be back.

This is a mixed review so I'll do pros and cons. Pros - Excellent service with really friendly staff - Beautiful room with big, comfortable bed and luxurious linens - Nice big bath in bathroom - Really nice and clean throughout - Pub downstairs is really nice and atmospheric Cons - The plumbing makes the most ungodly racket. I've attached a video to show I'm not exaggerating. It's a misophonic's nightmare. - This one is kind of scroogey, but there was a quiz on in the pub the night we stayed and it was SO loud in our room. We were both wiped out, and just wanted to sleep, but weren't able to until the quiz night wound down. If you're sensitive to noise, check what's on in the pub the night you're staying. - The food was a bit disappointing. Winter salad was literally just various leaves without any discernible dressing. Breakfast was good though.
