Poor, nothing more than average. Visited midweek, and impressed with both the reasonably priced set lunch menu and the accompanying service. Living locally, decided to visit on a Sunday, which was a complete contrast to our midweek experience. Portions was small, namely, the scallop starter and roast pork main. However, what was most disappointing is that both the pork and beef roast (albeit beef reasonably sized) was cold. Convinced the Yorkshire puddings are merely placed on plates by FoH staff without being reheated prior to being served. Appreciate commercial kitchens can be short of room at times, particularly on a Sunday- however, this is not an excuse for cold food, especially considering the presence of large Rational oven in the kitchen. Both bar staff were remarkably hospitable and leaps and bounds better than their esteemed colleagues in the kitchen.

Called in for dinner on the way back from a day out. Absolutely DELICIOUS food and drinks. Great tasteful setting. Fresh flowers and candle on the table. Great colour scheme. Very glad we stopped by, we will return.

Update - I have been contacted by the property and they have been very receptive and responsive, so review edited. The loft was nice, I should have checked as the room overlooked the roundabout. The ear plugs next to the bed made me think. 😀 very poor dinner, the steak was poor quality, badly cooked and tiny. With a watery sauce. The chips were nice but not worth 24 quid. I did mention it to the server but it is not their fault, that lies with the chef and the manager.
