5.03 weeks agoCharming pub with luxurious rooms, comfy bed, and delicious food. Daily soaks in the freestanding copper tub were so relaxing. Breakfasts and dinner were high quality, fresh and delicious. The butter chicken with pomegranate was scrumptious.

1.02 weeks agoGiven that breakfast is £25.95 I think its reasonable to expect something that is out of the ordinary, better than you would get in say a mid range Café and with service to match. Unfortunately that is not what you get here, its a reasonable breakfast, £15 maximum, with very slow and poor service. We ordered tea after about 15 minutes seated at the table and waited at least another 15 minutes for the Tea to arrive, then another 20 minutes for breakfast to turn up. All of this was just about tolerable, but we were then told that they needed the table back 10 minutes short of the allotted 90 minutes, whilst we were still waiting for an ice-cream that we had ordered for our two year old granddaughter. When it eventually arrived she had to eat it in the bar! The granddaughter had scrambled egg and a sausage (£12.95), and we had 5 breakfasts . With a service charge of £17.64, the bill was £160.00 for breakfast, quite shocking really and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone. On the upside, the one scoop of strawberry ice cream was free!!!!

1.02 months agoNot good at all. Seated in the outside glass area which was very cold, but as the area was full we could not move. The waiter took our orders and I explained I was Gluten intolerant. I ordered the fish and chips. The starters arrived in good time, but we then waited 55 minutes for the main course, and that was only after stopping a waiter to ask. The mains then arrived. The waiter said yours is gluten free, then 5 minutes later the manager came rushing to our table and took my dinner, saying mine wasn't gluten free. My wife and friend ate there dinner and then the manager, put in front of me the gluten free fish. The fish was not battered, but cooked in a cream looking something or other and there were no chips, he mumbled I will get them. The cream coloured thing on my plate was not crispy and was vile The manager came back with my chips, no apology. The waiter cleared the table and I ordered a coffee with skimmed milk. I maid a point of saying skimmed. The manager delivered the coffee and said no skimmed only semi skimmed. The food was basically rubbish, not cooked properly and verging on inedible. The Manager was a joke, no customer service at all. My reviews are read by many people and I hope they take heed of this one.
