When I went up to get my Carvery I wanted Roast Pork but it was pink in the middle not good!! And I had to ask the Chef for the Vegatables to be changed as they just been brought out and left. I understand it was busy but whilst waiting my meat was going cold. Apart from that, Even thou there was a minor problem. The Carvery I had was delicious.. Had a lovely time with my partner & friend and her son.. Would definitely go again..

I just like to say we love this place so we decided to go on a Sunday evening. They were a little bit busy but not too much about a 10 minute wait as a vegetarian the vegetables were very limited and my sister went to meet found the lamb to be very dry. The staff is normal but wonderful but like I say we was a bit disappointed.

What's happened?! I've had lots of meals here over the past year, as the kids love the carvery. But the food yesterday was absolutely awful. We overheard the family on the next table saying something similar as well. The potatoes tasted very odd, like chemicals - to the point my 9 year Son made a comment about them, and didn't eat them. The cauliflower cheese tasted of nothing, and the onions rubbery. (the chemical taste makes me wonder if they've been stored correctly, and/or are becoming rotten and releasing a toxin?) I usually really enjoy my meal here. But I resented paying for it this time. Perhaps there's been a change of Chef, as others seem to be giving similar reviews. If I'm honest, with Hem Heath being refurbished only stones throw away, I'll only be giving Toby one more opportunity. Then I'll try out the competition. Money is so incredibly tight these days - I don't want to waste it on food that I can do a much better job of cooking at home. Sorry Toby .... your staff are lovely, but the Chefs need to have respect for the food they cook and the customers eating it.
