Went with daughter and grandsons for a meal decided to have the carvery which was extremely nice and also a dessert. I chose the lemon sponge and ice cream overall a very tasty well cooked meal. Vera our waitress was excellent with quick service and very knowledgeable about the menu. The coca cola machine dispenser was not working properly giving flat drinks.

Booked a table for 1430. Arrived early at 1400 but they were unable to seat us as it was heaving. They were turning families away it was so busy. We sat in the beer garden until we were called. £12.39 for a white wine spritzer & a pint of lager was shocking. We had just come from Wetherspoons & paid £6 for the same drinks 2 miles away. Had the beef, turkey & lamb for lunch and it was all nicely cooked. Gone up in price now to £15.00 each which is a shame. Enjoyed it though. Staff were a little stressed & overwhelmed bless them. Would go back though.

We were seated relatively quickly but it took a while for our drinks order to be taken. The person serving is was reasonably friendly. There was a large table near us that had been vacated when we arrived but remained uncleared throughout our time there, being cleared away just before we left. Not the nicest of environments sitting next to a large table full of dirty plates, etc next to us. The food was good, but the woman who served the meat was not at all friendly, giving the impression that she either didn't care, or just didn't want to be there. Overall, our evening was good value, but perhaps you were short of staff which may have caused some issues. Friendly staff and a smile go a long way to improving a dining experience and cost nothing.
