Just are ate at the Toby Carvery Roborough and wasn’t disappointed. The choice of meats and all the veg were delicious. But it’s all about the spuds n gravy yum yum yum. The staff were so good/polite and very professional nothing was too trouble. Alex was a true gentleman but if I knew all their names I would mention them all. What a lovely establishment. 👍

Having never eaten at the Toby Carvery before and advertised as the home of the roast, Arrived at approximately 1pm. I'm not sure if the food was left over from the night before. I had pork and turkey both were very dry, my companion had the beef and saud it was chewy. The potatoes were ok and if you like carrots, peas and onions your fine as no other vegetables were out. All ok the food was Luke warm the gravy was the only thing hot. I didn't complain as I was treating my companion. All in all with the cost of the carvery and drinks it was a expensive mistake. I am on a pension.

A tough night for the staff (28/03/25) as they were very short handed. Our table was late and the choice of neat limited, however, Ellie kept us informed throughout, the food we had was thoroughly enjoyed by all 10 of us. Things go wrong, that's hospitality but it's how problems are dealt with that makes the difference. We'll be back, thank you to Ellie and all the staff
