We stayed in suite 36 for 3 nights. The room was very musty, the wallpaper on the ceiling was stained and peeling a little in places. We did complain and we were offered an alternative but not on the first night as there were no rooms available because of a wedding. We had asked for a room next to our travelling companions before booking but because of the wedding this was not possible. We would have to be the ones who had to stay in the musty room and then move. The bed was comfy enough although the pillows could be softer but that of course is personal choice. The staff on the whole were lovely. I can't say fully accommodating because we had to stay in the room and no compensation was given. The food was excellent. It was tasty and well presented. The temperature of the food that was served was especially excellent. Due to the price we paid, I definitely think our stay was not what we hoped for because our room totally let us down because of the smell in it. We opened all the windows of course, but it didn't help. The views around the estate are absolutely wonderful. We saw three fawns on the drive up to the estate which was just lovely and special.

Attended this venue to stay for business on arrival, was treated poorly by Samantha on reception, told no place to eat, and had no spa service and waited outside until 3pm check in. I requested Samantha cancel and refund my booking, and she said no problem. The hotel is now refusing to refund me with the receptionist now changing her story of what was said! I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere where the staff are trained correctly and they cater for the customer.

Had the best 24 hours here. Beautiful setting and scenery, took a bike out for a beautiful ride around the surrounding country, had a big and beautiful lounge to get some word done from, and the staff was just incredibly helpful and accommodating and such nice people. A highlight of my brief, 4 day trip in Scotland. I don't even golf, and loved this place! Thanks all!
