At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Henley-on-Thames is situated on the banks of the River Thames. Behind the cluster of historic listed buildings, with their classic Georgian architecture, this old brewery has charming, original period details, and contemporary decor.

This was our second stay here as it is in a great location and Henley is just lovely. Again the bed was extremely comfortable and the toiletries luxurious but, there were a few niggles. There was a bath in the actual room in a bit that jutted out over the courtyard with venetian blinds at the windows, unfortunately the blinds didn't fully block out the outside lights so our room was never in darkness and, as a light sleeper, this wasn't great at all. Also, the toilet cistern could be heard constantly trickling, it didn't stop. We didn't have an evening meal here so can't comment on that but breakfast was good. Loved that there was a decent coffee machine that you could use as often as you wanted. We couldn't park at the hotel but it was only a fairly short walk to the station carpark where we could park overnight. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We held a family celebratory meal here last Saturday for my mother's 100th birthday. catering for 30+ family members. The events team were superb. Imogen very friendly and efficient with the organisation. The serving team led by Roshan in the evening were lovely. They even presented mum with a large bunch of flowers. We had a wonderful evening.

A great experience from start to finish. We booked an overnight stay before continuing to Folkestone as the first night of our holiday., we were greeted at reception by Sabina who made us feel instantly at home, checking us in and showing us to our beautiful room (Yalumba) complete with a listed toilet! The bed was extremely comfortable and you could get a view of the river. Shower was powerful and spacious (there was a separate bath) Dinner was absolutely delicious, I had the beef cheek bourguignon which was tender and full of flavour with a decent portion of real mash. My partner had seabass again faultless. We were looked after by Robert and Sunni? Who both did an excellent job. We had a great breakfast, scrambled egg, French toast and smoked salmon, again all delicious. All in all a fantastic stay and a great beginning to our holiday. I'd recommend booking the parking as although the spaces a quite small it was very convenient., the exit taking you straight to reception. The hotel is yards from the river and has a really nice enclosed courtyard. We are travelling to France on Le Shuttle next year and will definitely book Here again for the night before.
