1.0a month agoFoods brilliant as always. Service tonight nothing against the staff but seemed well understaffed. Or certain staff members couldn’t handle the busier period. Was Brought a bill that had items none of us had then returned correctly even though we were still waiting on children’s ice creams. Waited a further 20 minutes before a third bill arrived. At this point is this a polite go? In the end patience worn thin in waiting for an ice cream. Asked for some money off the bill for the wait but told the sundaes come free must be the reason the ice creams aren’t a priority and would class there menus as false advertisement as children meals with ice creams is the reason children want theses meals.. Atmosphere any normal carvery as you expect however for us who was seated close to the bar all we heard for the entire duration was the bar phone ringing all night. Again staff in no hurry to answer it as all seemed stressed and rushed. A staff briefing is needed quickly to get back the high standards Toby carvery has always had. Manager also took no action when I was complaining as she was within a ear shot head down.. Toby review your management tonight as the waiters seemed overworked.

5.02 months agoCame across this venue as my usual choice was fully booked. I made an online booking and found there was lots of availability on the day I attended Sunday 18 August. Upon arrival my booking was confirmed and I was shown to my table. The queue for the carvery was 3 lines deep but moved quickly. Ten minutes later,I was sat down with a plateful! I chose roast lamb, gorgeous mash and superb roast potatoes,peas and carrots. This is as close to mums home cooking you will ever get. Every aspect t was delicious. I couldn't praise the food enough, needless to say, this is going to become a weekly event. The plates tell the story! Special thanks to McKenzie slaving away carving the meat, and Olivia making sure all was OK, and it was!

4.05 months agoWent for father's day food was nice and tasty, bit of a queue but expected. The turkey was by far the best meat so juicy..I've been many times and would recommend.. u know what your getting, a good carvery and nice atmosphere..
