Fantastic Service at Toby Carvery Captain Manby! We visited Toby Carvery during a particularly busy time and were so impressed with the service we received. Despite the restaurant being packed, Andy and Sam went out of their way to accommodate us, quickly rearranging tables to make sure we had a comfortable place to sit. Their friendly and efficient attitude made all the difference, and we really appreciated their effort. The food was, as always, delicious and great value for money. Overall, a fantastic experience, made even better by the excellent customer service. Thank you, Andy and Sam – we’ll definitely be back!

The Ultimeat Carvery—false advertising at its finest. Where was the meat? The scraps I found were tougher than old boots, and the rest was missing in action. No Yorkshire puddings. NONE. A carvery without Yorkshires is a national scandal. Instead, they drowned the plate in red cabbage, as if that’s what we came for. My dad declared it the worst carvery in living memory—and he’s eaten school dinners in the 70s. Dry meat, no Yorkshires, and cabbage everywhere. Bravo, Toby’s. Truly dreadful.

Had a fantastic evening with great food. Our server for the evening, Bruce, absolutely made the experience so much better. Such a welcoming and cheerful person, and made such a difference to the evening, always going the extra mile to check allergies and explaining things well too. We will be visiting again thanks to the amazing service.
