At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel du Vin Newcastle is housed in a magnificently refurbished Edwardian building on the banks of the River Tyne, close to the city centre. Originally home to the Tyne Tees Steam Ship Company, the building's maritime past is visible - from ship ropes in the courtyard, to porthole windows.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel du Vin! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a charming and elegant atmosphere. My room was spotless, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable, with luxurious touches that made it feel extra special. The attention to detail in both the decor and service really stood out. Overall, a truly fantastic experience—I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and highly recommend Hotel du Vin to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!

Really nice room with exceptional bathroom facilities. Comfy and spacious room. Classy hotel with very good finishes. Location is quiet but a slight walk up to the quayside and city centre. No streaming service on the TV only casting. Car park was full but did find a much cheaper one down the road.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a full English breakfast at Bistro du Vin, located within Hotel Du Vin Newcastle, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The breakfast offerings were extensive, featuring all the classic options you’d expect from a quality hotel restaurant. From freshly baked pastries to traditional English breakfast items, everything was prepared with care and attention to detail. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the sausages and bacon were crisp yet tender, and the selection of fresh fruit and juices was a nice touch. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by Simone and Tino. Both were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a warm and welcoming experience. Their professional yet personable approach made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, I’d highly recommend the full breakfast at Bistro du Vin for both the quality of the food and the top-notch service.
