2.0in the last weekWe visited for early dinner for my daughters graduation celebration. We were told when ordering that the pizza oven had broken so no pizza and garlic bread. This was immediately off putting as we had 2 children and they both wanted pizza and garlic bread. We asked for just plain bread for the kids to start with , this was literally 1 piece each of sour dough bread and butter which cost £12! Ridiculous! Surely with no garlic bread on offer some plain bread could have been complimentary as a good will gesture. The food was good for some and not for others . The portions very small with the pasta dishes , i thought mine was a starter size and there was minimal chicken in the chicken caesar salad. All very tasty though … After paying the bill and feeling very dissatisfied we all left and not one member of staff said goodbye , thank you , nothing! Very poor service and no interest in us at all .considering it is the festive season there was no atmosphere! I have been a customer of the Hale restaurant for years and used to love my nights there . We have celebrated all our children’s birthdays there, the milestone ones too and used the private dining area many a time. This was the first visit back since not going for a year as after trying other local restaurants i thought it would be nice to go back there . Previously the staff were always so gushing and made us feel very welcome . We all left very disappointed and i will definitely not be returning .

5.011 months agoDue to a half-price promotion, I visited this restaurant, which boasted lavish decor and a carefully selected, incredibly attractive staff. The sight of these charming employees heightened our appetite. We ordered four rib-eye steaks cooked to medium-rare perfection, a standout dish indeed. The kids enjoyed delicious pizza and pasta. However, despite its elegance, the restaurant’s atmosphere was unexpectedly noisy, reminiscent of a bustling market. The patrons, seemingly oblivious to others, spoke loudly. This collective noise created an environment similar to a busy street market, quite a surprise for such a refined establishment. This was an unexpected aspect of my dining experience that I hadn’t anticipated.
