    We visited today at Langley park Toby Carvery. I wanted to make sure that the great service we received was recognised. There was a particular staff member who was extremely friendly and put a smile on my Mum’s face. Which was lovely to see as my father passed away in January and there have been very few smiles since as you can imagine. I mentioned the waiter to the staff at the front door when we left and they did tell me the staff members name but unfortunately I have forgotten it and they did not have a name badge, it was a tall guy with dark hair and a lovely accent. Our table was booked for 4:15pm, I hope that this gets the thanks to him and recognition that we feel he deserves. Oh he was also very good at upselling ☺️

    On this occasion they were very busy as they had a 50% deal on. Unfortunately this did affect the food. Floppy soggy Yorkshires, overcooked sausages, no sauce on what I presume was meant to be cauliflower cheese. Serving lady dropped a Yorkshire pudding on the floor because she was rushing. Otherwise...other meats looked good. Place was clean, tables were cleaned fast. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I stuck with bottled drinks this time as the last time I went the bottomless drinks were awful, super weak.

    Food was cold and very limited selection on the vegetables. We waited 45 min and we had to call the server just to be able to order desert. We then waited a further 30 min for it to arrive. As well as a glass of water. The glass was covered in lipstick stain. Absolutely disgusting. After waiting another further 30 min we again had to ask for the bill as we was continuously ignored. Extremely unhappy.
