Welcoming staff, tasty and quality food. Pretty fast take-away orders. The slowly roasted beef with the famous Toby's gravy is a must. The roasted potatoes and loaded mac and cheese deserve that you pick a side of it too. Very pleased for a first order that the staff took time guide me as a foreigner. Recommended. We come back tomorrow.

I do visit Toby Carvery now and again and overall I am a supporter of the brand however I do find that when it is busy, which is usually of course on a Sunday, the service from the carvery staff serving the food is not as generous. I feel you are always short-changed on the amount of meat and given the price on a Sunday, which is comparable to many other pubs who give you far more meat, it's a little disappointing. We arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m. and they had just run out of lamb and given that the price rises on the weekend because of the lamb, you do leave feeling a little bit scammed, so unfortunately if someone was to ask me is it worth visiting on a Sunday, I would say no. During the week is a lot more satisfying and I feel like you come away with the feeling of having a far superior roast dinner.

Visited for the first time in years last Sunday and honestly I forgot how incredible the food is! The only downside was they ran out of lamb but otherwise the food portions and quality was perfect. When it comes to the service all the staff we encountered were polite and helpful but our server (it said their name was Sam on the receipt) was a true credit to the restaurant as no matter how rushed off her feet she was she was always so friendly and polite taking the time to talk with us when she could stop for a few minutes. The only big let down of the day was the condition of the female toilets with almost all the stalls being out of toilet paper, one stall doesn’t lock properly and another one looked like someone had peed all over the floor! Also one of the hand dryers wasn’t working.
