    in the last week
It was our first visit and while the staff do their best to provide a good service the venue is dreary, it’s half dive bar as you walk in with bar and slot machines and then the dinning portion. It’s served as a semi-buffet. Where you can get your meat cuts served and then the sides are unlimited and self serviced. We had to wait around 4 minutes for someone to come and cut the meat for us. We got beef and gammon, the pork had run out and turkey looked somewhat gelatinous. The beef was okay but the gammon was unbearably salty. Of the three pieces I got I struggled to eat one. The sides were lacklustre, there were no roast potatoes, no mash, no mac and cheese and the gravy had coagulated lumps in it. The rest of the sides were like defrosted steamed veg and were bland. We managed to get some roast potatoes in the end after around 25 mins of being in the restaurant and having more of less finished. They were the crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We opted to skip desserts and anything else as we were quite disappointed. Again the staff were attentive but for a dinner I can’t recommend it.

Went Toby today, and Paige was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of, and her service was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I recently visited Toby Carvery as a first-time customer, and it was a truly disappointing experience. Upon entering, I was completely ignored by the host, who prioritized an elderly couple that arrived after me with the warmest greeting imaginable. It was as if I was invisible. When I approached the bar staff for assistance, I was met with a cold and dismissive "yeah, whatever, she'll be with you shortly" vibe that left me stunned. The lack of basic customer service and common courtesy was appalling, to say the least. I won’t be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
