5.0a month agoAfter searching high and low for a Sunday roast, my friends and I stumbled upon this gem of a pub – and we are so glad we did! We were lucky to be served by Summer, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was warm, genuine, and incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out and added so much to our experience. The roast itself was perfect, and we left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied – everything just hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to Summer and the fantastic food!

5.03 months agoHad a really tasty dinner here. The miso aubergine thing was delicious, and the ox cheek mac and cheese side was good too. We also got a steak which arrived medium-well, despite us asking for it rare, but it still tasted good so we didn't mind so much. The chips that came with it were also really good, and there's a great selection of beers and other drinks.

3.010 months agoHad Christmas lunch today and all started well. Friendly staff, lovely cosy Christmas decor. Our starter was very nice which was the scallops. We then wanted to wait awhile to enjoy our drinks and not feel rushed and feel the Christmas spirit so we then said to the waiter we would wait for the main and let him know when he could put the order in. All of a sudden our mains came even though we asked to wait. We had the gammon, turkey and duck with potatoes, veg and Yorkshire pudding. We were very disappointed as-the turkey was so overcooked and dry and the duck was totally raw. The gravy was watery and the potatoes were not roasted nicely. The gammon was the best on the plate. Quite tasteless and definitely not worth the money. The dessert was good which was the Christmas pudding.
