The Pickled Hen in the London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch is a modern twist on the British gastropub offering locally sourced, honest food with a distinctly modern twist.

The Pickled hen serves up a decadent Breakfast which can be enjoyed in the modern dining room where you will be treated to views over George Street or out on the Terrace in the warmer months.

The extensive Breakfast menu includes options such as a sausage or bacon butty, poached egg with smashed avocado and pancakes and waffles with various toppings (our fave's the Nutella and toasted hazelnut). 

London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch is located on George Street in the Marylebone area and is a short walk from Paddington Station and Marble Arch Station.

    Tried the Pickled Hen for 5 days of breakfast and a couple times for evening snacks while staying at the Marriott Marble Arch. The Pickled Hen also doubles as this Marriott's lounge given they don't have a dedicated space for Platinum+ Marriott Bonvoy guests. Food: Food is decently fresh but could've used a lot more seasoning. Highlights for me included the daily smoked salmon and mackerel, chia seed pudding and muesli offering, as well as the tasty hash browns. Service: Staff are friendly at check-in but I noticed the staff member replenishing the food in the 12/26 and 12/27 mornings coughing up a storm (on the food) and wasn't wearing a mask! I hope he's doing OK and feeling better as I didn't see him after the first couple days. He was clearly unwell and either should've worn protective coverings and/or not been at work - definitely not in a food service environment! Atmosphere: The restaurant was nicely adorned with festive lights when I visited around the Christmas time. The seats are comfy and well-spaced. It was a lively atmosphere but you could still hear yourself talking.

    We had breakfast here. The staff is really helpful and work hard. Expected variety but pretty good quality. If they add ability to order custom omelette they will excel.

    We spent a good 14 days at lunch times here. While the menu is limited, that may be their strongest point. The focus on quality and selection of ingredient combinations makes you want to come back for more. Afternoon tea, followed by ales by the screen watching the weekend game round up a typical London evening experience. I would recommend this for all visitors staying anywhere near Edgeware Road.
