The Ivy Cafe is a chain of restaurants full of rich history and classical British food. The ambience and decor of the Ivy is full of beautiful artistry and restaurant furniture creating such a timeless atmosphere. This is the type of place you dine at with your phone camera in hand because at every corner there is something stunning to capture. Unfortunately, the quality of food doesn’t live up to the standard you expect considering the prices on the menu. I was disappointed by the lack of flavour with every course I had. It was a shame because every one I dined with ended up using the salt and pepper shaker to amplify and elevate the dishes. The freshness and quantity of food was more than adequate but points lost for the lack of flavours. The service we received was incredibly, our waitress was so helpful and enthusiastic. She really elevated our dining experience with her humour. Overall, it was excellent service but below par food. This is a restaurant I recommend everyone to dine at purely for its history, artistry and diving into classical English style cuisine.

This time, I had grilled halloumi with veggies, but I didn’t like the sauce—it had a rather strong smell and taste for me. However, the espresso martini was very good, as always. The service and ambiance were great, too. After Marlow Ivy, this Ivy is my favorite♥️
