Recently had Sunday set menu and it was a great experience. There was a lot of food included for the price. We did also add the venison scotch egg which was particularly delicious. Also highly recommend the blue cheese tart. The roast and its accompaniments were tasty, however, they didn’t really stand out more than other Sunday roasts I’ve had at pubs for a lower price. Good atmosphere, feels a bit fancier and more restaurant vibes than a pub, but still welcoming.

A great experience, one of those once and done moments. Never paid so much for a roast in my life. Came to over £200 for the both of us, but we did eat a lot and chose the special on the day. Food is exquisitely made, flavour and texture magnificent. The high was definitely the bone marrow toast, filled Yorkshire pudding and fig leaf ice cream. It was well worth it, but I can understand it isn't for everyone. As I said we ate too much and I definitely went overboard. Didn't have to eat for nearly two days after.

The rye bread was tough but the butter was very nice, the venison scotch eggs were nice, the root veggie starter was nice as well, for mains I ordered the day special, cote de boeuf, medium rare, the meat and potato and yorki were very nice but carrots, cauliflowers and cabbage were quite salty. The sticky toffee pudding was nice as well. All the food portion sizes were on the small side. I’d recommend to try it once.
