So many good gastropubs in London and this sadly isn’t one. The food is incredibly overpriced and absolutely appalling in laughably tiny portions. Scotch egg was served undercooked and very clearly raw in some parts - hard to believe the chef cut this open and thought this was satisfactory to serve… (This was almost £9). The rarebit was decent but a ridiculously small portion for £12. Fish and chips were… As you can see from the photo the colour of the fish isn’t right - clearly undercooked again. And again portions … you can barely even see the chips and for £23…

We had Sunday lunch here and it was to die for. Between four we shared the sharing Sunday roast which had pork belly, tender fillet of beef, chicken legs and lamb. With seasonal veggies and Yorkshire puddings and extra gravy on ask. We also had the blood orange creme brulee and I’ve never tasted a desert like it would 100% recommend. It’s slightly pricey but it’s london and you get alot of very nice food for your money so can’t complain.

We had a wonderful lunch here. The beef shin rarebit was absolutely amazing and the pie was a proper pie (shortcrust pastry all the way round!) and the mash and leeks with pancetta sides were also delicious. A really cosy atmosphere on a cold day and the service was stand out. Our waitress was excellent - anticipated our every need. Highly recommend.
