Exploring The Broadcaster for lunch this week and I must say, some of the most welcoming staff I’ve seen in a long time for children and dogs. They were on hand to make sure the my godson and Rex were settled before we got down to ordering. We ordered fish & Chips. They did really well accommodating to my nut allergy. I was amazed as it’s one of the best battered Cornish Hake I’ve had in a while ! The atmosphere inside was so lovely, that of a contemporary pub. It’s located right near the Television Centre with cosy tables providing to be a relaxed haven for such a busy area. I’m told the dining upstairs is wonderful with a nice view too. Hopefully I make it back during the summer to sit outside on their lovely terrace with a cocktail !

I booked a table two nights in advance, yet when we arrived, no table had been allocated for us. The only available option for a peaceful meal was next to the door, which was freezing and right by the toilet. I asked the staff if we could move, and they accommodated us, but the new spot was extremely loud. We ended up leaving right after finishing our meal. I wouldn’t recommend the first floor if you’re looking for a quiet and enjoyable dining experience, especially for a date or a relaxed Friday dinner with loved ones.

This is a very good place overall with fantastic good. I had 3 dishes on the day. Pumping soup, which I usually don't eat, was super fantastic. Steak was very good and tasted fresh and very nicely cooked. Final dessert was also super nice and wasn't too sweet, which is just the way I like it. Service was timely, polite and friendly and kept everything clean around many of us who were having XMas lunch.
