The iconic Shakespeare Globe Theatre needs no introduction, though its flagship restaurant Swan is a lesser-known gem. Get unbeatable views of the city while dining on a delicious Brunch or Sunday Lunch menu.

Low-slung and cosy, the interior here is as inviting as they come and is steeped in history, with beautiful views of St Paul's Cathedral and other landmarks from the window seats.

Try the buttermilk pancakes with smoked bacon and maple syrup or, if you're more of a savoury fan, Eggs Royale, Benedict and Florentine never fail to satisfy. On a Sunday, try their indulgent roasts, with options such as roast Kentish chicken or Scottish sirloin, cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings.

Southwark Underground Station is just under five minutes away on foot.

This was my first afternoon tea in England and it was wonderful! I had made a reservation, but was able to come a little early. They quickly accommodated me with no issues. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent!

My partner and I came here for Valentine’s Day dinner, and it exceeded all our expectations. It’s such a great feeling when you splurge on a special night out and the food completely blows you away. Everything impressed us — from the incredible meal to the restaurant’s ambiance, perfect location, and top-notch service. It all came together for an unforgettable dining experience.

We had afternoon tea. The place was really full. I had prebooked. I requested a window view and I think they ensured this as we had to wait a few minutes to get our table. The tea was really nice. It was a Hansel and Gretel inspired theme. Everything tasted great. High quality teas were available. I had the oolong. Service was excellent. They gave us sufficient time without much interruptions. It's not a quiet atmosphere as this is also a pub space. However, the views are definitely worthwhile. Overall really good experience. I look forward to going back. Even more so if there will be different tea themes.
