Sussex serve signature dishes alongside a dynamic wine list. With a clean and elegant dining room aesthetic, Sussex has signature accents of a beloved country-style panache. A butchers table overlooks the dining room, providing a theatrical hospitality area where the team carve wellingtons, decant beautiful wines and display a British cheese board.

The Sunday Lunch menu features sustainably sourced produce from their bio-dynamic farms in West Sussex, with options such as rolled Dorset leg of lamb, or Sussex beef fillet wellington. All the roasts are served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal Sussex vegetables.

    Had expected to love this place but were underwhelmed. Nice decor, but the table was thoroughly sticky. Wine list wasn't readable online (presented in Word), and in the restaurant there was a wine list plus a drinks list and wine selections weren't the same in both. We love bread...but the fermented yeast bread was underproofed/underbaked and doughy. Burrata was good but quite heavy on the pesto. The hake was drowned by the overly rich sauce and leeks were difficult to cut/eat. Deer was nicely done. Room for improvement.

    Quick and light(ish) lunch having their smaller and sharing plates. A lovely restaurant and their snacks give a feeling of British tapas. The gazpacho and salt beef croquette were stand out. The service was friendly, with solid wine pairing recommendations. Would recommend!

    One star for the lack of employee training. We enjoyed the dinner and the service until the end - after paying the full bill with 15% service charge and reaching out my hand for the receipt, the waiter threw the receipt towards the table like a waste paper and the receipt almost fell into my partner’s dessert. Shocking all of us, he did that without taking a second look or saying a word. Just left. If the restaurant owner still cares about their customers, there is urgent need to let the employee understand how consistent customer experience matters. Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: 1
