I loved staying at this hotel! All the staff were incredibly kind, especially the concierge who checked us in (I forgot her name) and also took us to our room to show us around and explain amenities. She also tried to help me as I had lost my phone after just arriving, very kind! The bars and restaurants were so lovely as well with amazing views and most of the staff tried to accommodate us with the seating we preferred (beside the views). Overall I would definitely stay again and recommend others to! A lot of the staff do take that extra step to make the experience memorable and beautiful.

Was planning to stay here for a week or so, but moved out after one night due to the crazy loud creaks of the building. I'm not sure if this was due to the floor we were on, or if it was due to the wind storm London was experiencing, but it was so loud. No one in my party slept well, which, despite the gorgeous property and views (best I've seen in a London hotel), made it a no-go. The location is also.....kinda random and everywhere we wanted to be was a 20-minute drive away. But the service was good. I tried the breakfast buffet. Was great - had lots of Asian and Western options and really fresh. Best part of the hotel is the views. Pool and gym are small but fine I suppose. Service was great. I had laundry at the hotel which wasn't ready by the time we checked out the second day, and they offered to post it to me. Came with lavender bunches and folded immaculately, as you'd expect from Shangri-La. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd return b/c of the noise, and the elevators (you need to take one elevator to get up to the reception, then another to the rooms). There's also a security check at the ground floor -- think airport TSA complete with bag scanner -- which is important, and made me feel safe, but also....kinda annoying. So beautiful property, with a worthwhile gimmick, that is good if you are into views. Or a fan of the Shangri-La brand.

Our stay at Shangri-La The Shard was exceptional from start to finish. The breathtaking views, impeccable service, and luxurious rooms made it a truly memorable experience. Dining was exquisite, and the infinity pool overlooking London was the perfect touch of serenity. A must-visit for anyone seeking unparalleled elegance in the heart of the city!
