I used to go to this O'Neills fairly regularly, but not been in a few months and went with a few friends on Saturday night. The door staff were extremely aggressive and rude -- they treat you like you're a bunch of criminals before you've even walked in the door by the way they talk to and act towards you. When one of the door staff was looking through my very expensive wallet, he shoved his fingers in each slot with such force and aggression, I thought the stitching was going to break -- what need is there for that to treat customers' belongings with such disrespect and force? When I mentioned it to him, there wasn't an apology or anything, he had the audacity to snap and said "I need to check it properly!" Disgusting behaviour. The slots in my wallet are now loose thanks to that.

It’s NOT OK to damage customers’ property. The security guy is someone who used to work behind the bar, unsure of his name - maybe Matt. I’ve seen similar reviews on here about the appalling attitude and disrespect for customers’ belongings - easy to work out the common factor here. We're respectful gentlemen in our early 40s, not a bunch of young, rowdy and mouthy teenagers that can't handle their alcohol. There was a live band on (who were actually decent) and you'd think that might draw customers in, but the place was empty at 10pm as you'll see from the pics -- no surprise there if they're treating customers like that. We had a terrible experience and certainly won't be going back. We'll take our manners and money elsewhere to establishments that actually respect decent paying customers.
