End the week in style at Hawksmoor Spitalfields, a sophisticated steak restaurant with a stunning Sunday Roast.

Best known as a steak and seafood restaurant, Hawksmoor Spitalfields have honed and tweaked their Sunday Roast to perfection, part-cooked over charcoal and served with all the trimmings – duck fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots & garlic and lashings of bone barrow and onion gravy.

The interior has a regal grandeur that will take you back in time, though the low lighting and leather upholstery are thoroughly modern.

Shoreditch High Street Station is a short walk away, but why not check out the amazing shops and sights before heading back.

Seriously 5*. It's just a classic, easy restaurant choice that doesn't disappoint. The food (steak especially, obviously) is all great quality but in this particular branch the staff are always the best bit. I've never been and not had a server who isn't fun, helpful and very professional, in a casual manner. They often give us free dishes when we have a chat with them, which is such a nice touch. Love the variety of starters and the quality of the steak. Always somewhere I'm excited to visit.

Walked in seating for Sunday roast, was advise about 90 min seating which would be fine if only they did not take our order for first 10 min. Food arrived 30+ min after. We finished the super unfat dry steak and average sides in 20 min (bone marrow was the only great dish). Asked for dessert, with 25 min to spare, waiter came back after 5 min and told us there wasn't enough time. The fastest service was the bill which came one min after.

Been there twice, had the rib-eye and the fillet, my friend had the fillet twice, the second time was better than the first time.. is it the best steak I ever had, not exactly, but it is very good still and I would recommend it. The cream spinach and the baked sweet potato are strongly recommended too. The star of the show is by far the sticky toffee pudding, it's wow-ing in that place, you should definitely try it. The service is a bit slow sometimes, we had to wait for about 50 min before we got our food.
