5.0in the last weekThe atmosphere was very good. All staff is extremely nice and professional, especially Yolanda, our host. Everyone were really looking after us here. We had chateaubriand which was nicely prepared. Side dishes and drinks were amazing as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner with family and friends.

4.03 months agoTo start with the location of this restaurant is fantastic, sat just in the river bank it’s the ideal place, the internal decor is also great. Booked a table for 2 for a sibling catch up and upon arrival we were seated immediately, was about 5-10 mins late but never felt rushed at all. After being seated we were presented with the menus swiftly and we were also shown a plate of steaks available which was great and helped us pick what we wanted. All of the food came out at perfect timing and as expected from gauchos was tasty, the only let down for me was the steak itself, it wasn’t a great cut and was extremely fatty, when I usually visit the chain the steak is better quality. All that being said it was a great experience and I enjoyed the food. Definitely need to go back Other than t

4.0a week agoMy partner and I just had the most amazing lomo at Gaucho Richmond—it was absolutely stunning! The duty manager and the table server were both very kind, but there are a few areas I feel could be improved. We decided to dine at Gaucho because this month is my birthday. A friend of mine booked the reservation for us through The Fork app and applied a £50 Yums discount to the booking. She had provided all the necessary details via The Fork, which I assume would have been communicated to Gaucho Richmond through the platform. When we arrived, I informed the hostess at the front desk that we had a reservation under my friend’s name. She quickly located the booking and then asked me if there was a special occasion. I was a bit confused at that moment (wondering if the occasion wasn’t already mentioned in the booking details?), but I assumed she just wanted to confirm, so I told her it was my birthday this month. However, she remained silent with no reaction whatsoever. By the time we left, there had been no acknowledgment or gesture to mark the occasion. (We only received two glasses of champagne later, but that was due to billing issues at the front desk, which I will elaborate on below.) When it came time to settle the bill, the £50 Yums discount from The Fork app was not applied. This forced me to contact my friend, who is currently travelling in South America, to verify the booking details, all because the front desk staff did not handle the matter professionally. Since I couldn’t immediately reach my friend, I explained the situation to our table server, who kindly checked with the front desk. Only then was the discount finally applied to our bill. This back-and-forth caused unnecessary hassle and frustration, especially as this information should have been prepared and handled in advance. I strongly recommend additional training for the front desk staff to ensure they are better equipped to manage such situations and provide a smoother customer experience.
