Flesh & Buns lives up to its name - fluffy steamed bao buns in an authentic Japanese eatery.

Oxford Circus was the birthplace of the bountiful London Sunday brunch. Flesh & Buns are here to show you a great time, so they’ll keep your glass full of free flowing booze for two hours alongside a mouthwatering menu of small plates, flesh and buns – all rounded off with something sweet. Perfect for large groups and cosy pairs.

The 3 course Sunday Brunch at Flesh & Buns has already become something of an institution. A cocktail on arrival is followed by a plethora of small dishes, with choices ranging from Korean fried wings and chicken yakitori, or a mixed sashimi set and softshell crab, depending on which menu you choose.

The titular Flesh and Buns serve as the main course- fluffy bao buns served with the likes of a crispy piglet belly with mustard miso.

Served every Sunday from 12pm-4pm for up to 8 people. Small sharing plates served to the table, one flesh per person and desserts served to the table. Please note that the entire table must choose the same menu. Free flowing prosecco, red wine, white wine.

Absolutely amazing tasting menu, we were so full when we left. The portions were generous, and food was so nice. Service was great - the servers were so kind and attentive. I will definitely come back again and again

We tried the tasting menu and it was underwhelming. Probably the best part was the prawn crackers and dips. That guacamole and salsa, especially. We got 4 buns in total for the crispy duck and the chicken. Just 4 and they were a bit dry as they stuck to each other. The chicken wings were good. The staff were super nice and accommodating for our requests to swap pork. Had better sushi in other places, not gonna lie. The ceviche was unnecessarily very spicy. The squid was very dry. I would not come here again though.

Food is great but a tad spicy for the teriyaki don. Do ask them not to put in the spice if you can’t take too spicy food, other than that it tastes superb! I like the food, but it was fully booked by a big group the day I went and was seated at the bar counter, thus not so enjoyable for us. Service is great! And we were well taken care of. Order the beef brisket. Don’t order the duck.
