Perched atop the 36th floor of Sky Garden, Darwin Brasserie serve modern British classics.

The newly constructed Sky Garden contains three beautifully landscaped public gardens and is now host to Darwin Brasserie, a contemporary and elegant restaurant with stunning views of the cityscape.

A sweeping bar wraps around the modern furnishings, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a breath-taking view. Its understated charm makes it the perfect hangout spot for a lavish Brunch, though it retains the high-quality feel of a fine-dining restaurant with sparkling glassware, a muted colour palette and welcoming staff.

Breakfast at Darwin Brasserie is a luxurious experience. Start off with a smoothie or juice and something for the table - from a muffin basket to charcuterie and cheese. With signature Breakfast classics or a variety of eggs, guests can also opt for something sweet such as a buttermilk pancake stack with caramelised banana, nutella and roasted hazenuts. Why not treat yourself to a cocktail with Breakfast for an extra special experience.

The Weekend Brunch menu offers a choice of main courses, including roast sirloin of Hereford beef and Yorkshire pudding, or gorgonzola gnocchi with walnuts and pear. With a range of starters and desserts to choose from, and an extensive wine list, this is a truly indulgent experience.

Sky Garden is close to Monument Station and easily accessible due to its central location, though the Thames is a short walk away for a post-Brunch stroll before you leave.

Such a lovely picture place to go for dinner. We had the festive menu. I had the goats cheese and mushroom tart - it was nice but a lot of goats cheese (bit too much for me but that’s a preference). I also had the Sea Bream and Sticky toffee pudding which were nice. The roast turkey was amazing and so was the basque cheesecake. Also the cocktail options were great. Fantastic views and great atmosphere.

I recently visited Darwin Brasserie at Sky Garden to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and while the location and food were wonderful, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. First, let’s focus on the positives: the view is breathtaking, and the ambiance is perfect for a special occasion. The food was delicious, and the service from our waiter was generally attentive. However, I had specifically noted in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and requested something special to mark the occasion. Unfortunately, nothing was done. When I raised the issue, the waiter sincerely apologized, explaining that he hadn’t been informed by the reception team about the note. By that time, the kitchen had already closed, and it was too late to prepare anything. What made it worse was that, despite the error on their end, there was no effort to make it right—no complimentary dessert, drink, or even a gesture to acknowledge the oversight. For a place that prides itself on delivering a premium experience, this was extremely disappointing. It’s a shame, as a simple acknowledgment could have easily turned the situation around. Overall, while the location and food were great, the lack of attention to detail and the way this situation was handled left us with a bitter aftertaste. I expected more from such a renowned venue, especially when celebrating a special occasion.

This was one of the most overrated and expensive places I have been to in my whole life. We made brunch reservations at 12 and by the time we arrived, they were already serving lunch but still calling it brunch. I was completely disappointed by this and the fact that we still had to order three dishes and pay a fixed price. The presentation of the food was nice but nothing was too delicious, everything was subpar for such a location and such a price it was very disappointing. There were no drinks included in the price of the brunch which was another disappointment. In the end we had a huge bill for an extremely mediocre experience. The interior was also very chilly and didn’t have the cosy brunch experience at all. I wouldn’t recommend going there for food.
