Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional Chophouse. Drop by for chops, cocktails, wine on tap and of course a formidable Sunday Lunch.

Prioritising quality meaty goodness, Blacklock’s meat is sourced exclusively from small farms in Cornwall owned by award winning butchers, the Warren Family.

Sunday Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get around a table with friends and family and regale each other with the week's goings-on. Many claim to have the best, but at Blacklock they know no roast will ever beat the nostalgic feast Mums dish out up and down the land each week.

However, they do their best to get as close to that comforting feast, safe in the knowledge that it will only ever be almost as good as Mum's. The Roast menu is only available on Sundays with delicious chops and steaks (and plenty in-between) served throughout the week.

Blacklock Covent Garden is located just off Bedford Street with fantastic transport links from Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Charing Cross, near the many theatres in the West End, the National Operal House, Somerset House and one of London’s most famous shopping districts.

Not only when you have eaten, would you know how impressive this restaurant is. I had been frustrated early as it turned full all the time when I was trying to make a reservation. Thereby, be warned to make your booking early, and at least a week ahead for it to get the seats you want! Meat: The prime rib and the steak are perfectly done! (A piece of 700g would approx. suit for a table for two for your information as well.) We ordered one 700g prime rib and one 700g steak, table for three. Cant imagine how the cook worked on that when there were so many orders at the same time. Bone marrow: Definitely need to give that a try! It smells and tastes good. Cheesecake: We are not planning to order this at first place but seeing what other tables are having, we decided to go ahead for it. You wont regret that too!

Terrific food, friendly and attentive staff, top quality. Beef was tender and soft, pork was flavourful and lamb was excellent. Gravy was on point as well. Look out for the roasts, they hide someone your Yorkshire puddings! We luckily got a walk in slot for our dining experience so we recommend booking in advance or you may miss out.

Me and my family went on a Monday. The food was beautiful and we ordered an enormous amount of food but the price was fairly reasonable. For starters we got slow cooked ribs and Creamy mushrooms on toast. We had the lovely waiter James who helped us pick out our steaks and recommended us sides to complete the steaks. Each steak was beautifully cooked and delivered well with the crispy chips, healthy amount of kale salad, gravy, chop sauce and luscious bone marrow!! Ended the evening with bread and butter pudding and would 100% recommend getting after your meal!
