Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional Chophouse. Drop by for chops, cocktails, wine on tap and of course a formidable Sunday Lunch.

Prioritising quality meaty goodness, Blacklock’s meat is sourced exclusively from small farms in Cornwall owned by award winning butchers, the Warren Family.

Sunday Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get around a table with friends and family and regale each other with the week's goings-on. Many claim to have the best, but at Blacklock they know no roast will ever beat the nostalgic feast Mums dish out up and down the land each week.

However, they do their best to get as close to that comforting feast, safe in the knowledge that it will only ever be almost as good as Mum's. The Roast menu is only available on Sundays with delicious chops and steaks (and plenty in-between) served throughout the week.

Blacklock in the City is just a stone’s throw away from Leadenhall and Old Billingsgate Market and close to London Bridge and Tower Bridge with great transport links from Monument, Fenchurch Street Station, Bank and Cannon Street.

Great Sunday roast, if not only the best I had in a long time. Since I’ve arrived, I felt welcomed. Despite not having a reservation, the waiter has found a table for me. The service was attentive and professional from start to finish. The food was tasty and well balanced. I recommend having Sprouts and Bacon as a side as well. Definitely recommend it, and definitely I will try it again

Our Sunday Roast was a juicy and mouth watering experience. I highly recommend getting the sirloin. Also, the cheesecake is scooped from a bin by the waiter and we had our money’s worth! So delicious.

September 2024: Friends recommended this place for the Sunday Roast. So of course we had to try it. I ordered the sirloin steak special and my wife had the leg of lamb roast. Both were tasty but my steak was a little tough. Fixings on the side included Yorkshire pudding, fried potatoes (which was oddly very tough), carrots (which were very tasty), kale and cabbage (the best)! Overall, enjoyed my first Sunday Roast meal. I would come back again to try a different meat next time. Service was friendly and attentive.
