My friend and I had booked tickets (£40 each) for one of the wine nights. A family emergency came up 5 days before the day of the tasting and the owner would not give us any refund (not even partial) or allow us to move our tickets to a different day. For something meant to be luxurious and indulgent £££, the horrible customer service was astounding and will now never plan to visit this venue or their events.

Been coming here for a while to entertain clients after work but left very quickly yesterday evening when they had a table of incredibly racist customers. There was only one woman serving (a person of colour), who had to put up with absolutely terrible comments from this table. She had no support from anyone and we ended up leaving. This was extremely distressing and disappointing. I won't be able to bring clients here any more knowing that the management seemed happy to let their staff be treated like this in full view of other customers.

Would highly recommend their fortnightly wine nights. You try 6 wines on a theme (ours was different Pinot noirs) with lots of interesting information provided by one of Balfour’s staff, all for £25. There were also little canapés served with each wine which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately for two of them, the waiter had run out by the time they got to our table which was a shame. But we loved it and will definitely be back!
