Whether it is a family-style get together of 12 or a table for two, join Whitcomb's at The Londoner for an exquisite and leisurely Sunday Lunch experience between 12pm - 5pm.

Reared by Aldens family butchers in Oxfordshire, the French-inspired roasts include a delicious Eastwyke Farm rib of beef and a corn-fed lemon butter chicken, carved the traditional way at your table.

Accompanying sides are served in great abundance, suffusing the classics with a hint of Whitcomb’s personality. Think red wine jus, cauliflower gratin, those addictive potato chips, and a selection of seasonal vegetables, all supplied by premium greengrocer Le Marché.
Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Whitcomb’s roast without the accompaniment of an excellent wine. There are plenty to choose from, but we love a good red Bordeaux, such as the 2019 Château Larose-Trintaudon, or a Burgundian 2022 Jean-Claude Boisset Pinot Noir if opting for the chicken. For the mavericks, the mixologist has concocted a 14-ingredient Bloody Mary to get the senses tingling

Located in the centre of Soho, close to theatreland and the famous Covent Garden. Whitcombs offers tables from 2-12 guests.

The peaches in the peach salad were hard as rock (and were not caramelized as the menu stated) and the rest of the salad mediocre. The himachi was decent but very skimpy for 25 pounds. The linguine with prawns was good but the tortellini was terrible, one bite of the whitefish a bit suspect. What Italian doesn’t give free bread to soak up the extra sauce? It doesn’t even need to be good bread! Portions were all small and overpriced. Room is nice but two extraordinarily ugly photographs are difficult to look at. Waiter was very nice but what the manager did was appalling. I went to the bathroom and then came back. My friend then went to the bathroom and was followed out, accused of leaving without paying the bill. Seriously who would do that? They said they didn’t see me come back. Is this really a problem? We were quite upset. Manager apology was incredibly lame. Restaurant was mostly empty. It is in serious need of major changes.

Good food but abysmal service. Took over an hour for initial drinks, during which time they didn’t even give us menus. Didn’t bring my main as there was an error on initial recording so instead of sea bass they’d prepared chicken. We were on the set menu (had to ask for as wasn’t presented with) which didn’t mention/offer any sides, nor was it mentioned by the staff when ordering. Food then turned up as just the meat. In short order all we could get was their chip side dish. Manager offered to pay for the deserts on the set menu as compensation, but when the bill arrived deserts were charged. A shame as the food when it arrived was nice. Just let down by some of the worst service I’ve seen in years. Try it if you’re prepared for a VERY slow lunch where you might not get all you ask for. Otherwise I’d give it a miss!

I had a great time dinning at Whitcomb’s! We love all the dishes we ordered especially the king prawns and Dover sole👍🏻 Great ambiance and services from the staffs too! Thank you so much Olha for being so attentive to us during the entire time! Would love to come back and enjoy the food here!
