2.03 weeks agoI came for Sunday lunch, the chicken was cooked really nicely and the roast potatoes were lovely. However, that is where it ended. My drink was filled with little black bits and what looked like dirt. The glass was filthy. The waitress was lovely and promptly exchanged the drink. When the food arrived, the veg was limp and unappealing and was left uneaten. The gravy was cold and again went uneaten. The beef was awful, clearly a very cheap cut, and it was difficult to find any meat amongst the gristle and connective tissue. We didn't hang around for a pudding, so I can not comment on that. Unfortunately we won't return. The staff were so lovely and professional and this is why I have given two stars. I probably think it's do with the cost of ingredients and utilities rather than anything to do with any person. Which is a shame. My usual go-to place for a Sunday lunch was the botanist at media city, which has closed, so I thought I would try L1.

3.04 months agoMe and the girls went here for dinner on a Sunday. 3 of got Sunday dinners. The veg comes separate in a bowl to share, there was maybe enough for 2 people for certainly not enough for 3. There was also only 2 roasted potatoes. For £20+ I didn’t want to be fighting my friends for a carrot🤷♀️ They also served 2 roast dinners then we had to wait another 10 minutes for the final beef dinner to arrive. Our cocktails however were fab as were the staff. Really disappointed overall. Attached photo of my half roast dinner. Should have went to the Toby carvery. We actually advised a couple who were outside to avoid the roast dinner unless they wanted to be hungry on there exit.
