Fascinating history, amazing location. The only drawback is the very small room size with very little space for luggage. I was on a weeks trip from the US, had to get very creative just to unpack. Sefton Park is directly across the street and is beautiful. There are plenty of options for eating out within walking distance and the staff were delightful. If you do t mind a tight space, I’d highly recommend this hotel.

6 of us booked 3 rooms this weekend and we'll defo be back. Rooms are a good size, bed amazing, decor very interesting. Didn't catch the gents name who was working this morning but we all agreed he's great. Went out of his way to help us with our many questions about the place. Beautiful view of the lake, and not far from the centre.

We stayed a night at the Sefton Park Hotel and they were very friendly and pleasant, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked very well even for a tall person. A couple of minor niggles were that the room's curtains were not very good so quite a lot of light leaked into the room from the street lighting, affecting my sleep. Also, the breakfast was slightly mixed. My fried egg was served with a broken yolk and, unforgivably if you like coffee, we were served instant coffee. Maxwell House no less and served in a teapot, which was a quirky choice, to say the least
