4.0a month agoA great burger and chips to be had here, but things were very slow. I asked for some vinegar to put on my fries and go find it myself before my chips were completely cold. Otherwise fine but quite expensive.

4.03 months agoIt's a nice café / restaurant chain, although I think some of the menu items have slipped in quality in the last year. The Leamington Spa location is pleasant, especially on a sunny morning or evening. They changed the menu recently so they don't have the 'magnifico' breakfast deal (any main, plus juice plus any coffee or hot drink for £14.something). Kids menu is ok but uninspiring - and the pancakes and berries no longer come with chocolate sauce which my kids really liked. Good coffee. Main course choice is fairly broad modern Italian, some are lovely.

1.0in the last weekAppalling Customer Service I visited this establishment for desserts and drinks, only to be met with an arrogant and ignorant response from a staff member. When we asked about low-alcohol options, we were dismissed with the comment, "What's the point in that?!" While I understand that the UK has a complicated relationship with alcohol, I believe it's important for those working in customer-facing roles to understand that not everyone drinks—and not for the same reasons. Some may be pregnant, driving, allergic, or on medication that prohibits alcohol consumption. For others, the decision to abstain could be cultural, personal, or driven by physical or mental health issues. There are also those of us who have lost loved ones to alcohol-related tragedies: from accidents caused by drunk drivers to addiction that claimed the lives of family members. For many, choosing sobriety is not a lifestyle choice but a necessity—to prevent further pain and to honor the memories of those we've lost. No matter the reason, we do not expect to be judged for our decision. We don't criticize others for their choices, and we only ask for the same respect. A thoughtless, disparaging comment can be hurtful in ways that are unimaginable to someone who has faced significant loss or struggle. I urge you to think twice the next time someone requests a non-alcoholic drink. What may seem like a harmless joke to you could be a painful reminder for someone else. In a world where kindness and respect cost nothing, surely those are the values you should uphold, especially when representing a business. Instead of asking "Why don't you drink?", perhaps consider asking, "Why DO you drink?" Maybe it's time to reflect on the impact of our words and how we treat others. I hope no one else has to endure such a thoughtless remark in the future. We deserve better, and I certainly wouldn’t have made such a hurtful comment to you.
