At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells is situated in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, a charming and historic town in the Kent countryside. Converted from a Grade II-listed mansion, the hotel is one of this beautiful spa town's architectural landmarks, with authentic Georgian period details.

We came for afternoon tea as a belated Mothering Sunday treat and overall, it was a truly lovely experience. The building is beautiful and elegant and the service was first class. Great value for the tea, which had a huge number of sandwiches and sweets. Only the scones were a bit disappointing ... not really scones at all but more like cakes.

Met a friend there for drinks on a Sunday and a catch up - met in the main bar. Firstly I was shocked when enetering the hotel to see some ‘paid for’ brolley stand whereby you have to rent umbrellas 😂 Staff are lovely but the drinks were I thought expensive, the bill had to be corrected twice - overall not what I think should be a expected of such a lovely property. Oh and the worse thing for me was the gents toilets have two demonic statues - that is not cool 👺🔚

Staying at the Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells is such a pleasure. On the Sunday I had arranged to have Sunday Lunch. The dining room is light, airy and with proper silver service.. The food was absolutely spot on. The ambiance and the staff was perfect.. Our room was Belle Epoque facing over the gardens. Fabulous room, huge bed, well appointed with a Nespresso machine. The bath room was one of the biggest I have ever had with the fastest filling bath ever. The shower was a step in perfect. In line with their green ethos you could choose not to have the rooms serviced each day which suited us. Breakfast was delicious, great buffet and big, imaginative hot menu. Staff were an example to other places. Lily who was on reception and taking breakfast orders was the epitome of charm. Always with a smile. All the staff were immaculately turned out and charming. Particularly the young man in the bar, Lily and the restaurant staff. A perfect stay in a wonderful spot to see Tunbridge Wells.
