Wandered in after a morning canal walk and totally out of the blue ( and character) ordered a full English breakfast. Absolutely amazing...Portion sizes were generous to say the least, the food was cooked to perfection and not greasy at all. The Lattes were hot and tasty. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive without being pushy. Prices were good and we believed excellent value for money. Lucky it was sunny so sat overlooking the canal...perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be going back. Can't fill in the food recommendation bit below as breakfast isn't on it otherwise would be 5* on its own

We held our Christmas party here for the third year in a row. As the food and staff have always been amazing. This year was as good as ever, great food and very polite and accommodating staff. Though this year the restaurant area was booked out for a private function and we had a table in the bar area next to the entrance door and ladies toilets . This was far from ideal coupled with the over zealous dj with the volume control. Credit to the manager, while he was unable to move us to another table, he was able to mute the speaker above our heads and apologise unreservedly for the venue change and table positioning. So while we didn’t have our usual festive evening, we still enjoyed fabulous delicious Christmas dinner and great wine and cocktails. Will definitely book again next year as long as we can be assured of the table locations. Please please hold it it in the restaurant area! Merry Christmas to all the great staff and wishing you a wonderful New Year. Thank you

A lovely Sunday lunch with friends and great servings offered. Roast beef, pork and chicken with helpings of roast vegetables and yorkshire pudding. It did feel a little rushed for a Sunday, having to clear and vacate the table.
