3.08 months agoWe went for lunch as a family of 6 during half term. The kids eat for £1 off the kids' menu and there's also a '2 meals for £10.99' menu, so it made it affordable for us all. The kids meals include 4 steps - a meat/veg option, potato/veg option, beans/veg option and a dessert. Drinks do increase what you spend significantly - we spent £24 on drinks alone! Service was quick and efficient. Food was fresh and portions were generous - we all really liked our meals and pretty much finished everything. Upstairs toilets were clean. Avoid the downstairs accessible toilet if possible. Worth it for lunch if you're in town with kids.

1.0a month agoEdit due to you wanting a reason why. We ordered 2 large breakfasts with 2 hot chocolates. Breakfasts turned up after 20 minutes, and we enquired where our hot chocolates were. We were rudely told to enquire at the bar as he was too busy to deal with it. He had time to go outside smoking and chatting to the barmaid, clearly not too busy. While eating our breakfasts, the bacon was so cold and dripping with the oil it was laying on the plate in, and the eggs were undercooked with snotty yolks. We didn't feel comfortable bringing this up in case we were snapped at yet again. The only thing that turned up hot was the hot chocolates. we had to wait for while the blonde barmaid was busy flirting with the male customers at the bar. We generally use yates as a meet-up place with members of the family, but we will spend our money elsewhere as this is not the first time we have had a rude experience with the same member of staff.
