At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Harrogate is located close to the town centre, overlooking The Stray, a magnificent 200-acre common.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Christmas Day at The Van Harrogate, and it was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a wonderful holiday experience. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that our day was nothing short of perfect. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. The Christmas meal was spectacular, with each dish meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. The variety offered catered to all tastes, and attention to detail was evident in every bite. It was clear that the chefs put a great deal of effort into crafting a memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their professionalism and friendliness greatly enhanced the festive atmosphere. Overall, The Van Harrogate provided a magical Christmas Day that exceeded all expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding food and service, especially during the holiday season. It was truly an unforgettable experience that I look forward to reliving in the future.

Stayed for the night and found the hotel to be very pleasant. Room was a nice temperature, big comfortable bed, great shower 🙌. We don’t dine at the restaurant so can’t comment. Great location (parking not so good) If I was forced to complain about anything, it would be the floor boards squeaking, certainly not sneaking about in the rooms/corridor. Will be back!

Lovely hotel but found room rather stuffy. We turned radiator off but couldn’t leave window open because of traffic noise. Could have done with two chairs in room. Bed comfortable and bathroom nice. Breakfast nice but you have to cook your own toast and get your own drinks. Coffee from machine wasn’t nice. I would have preferred a cafetière or, even better, a proper Italian coffee machine! Staff lovely.
