At Hotel du Vin, it’s always a food celebration in a very relaxed and easy-going setting. Now sit back, relax and enjoy a glorious Sunday Lunch your own pace. Divine.

Sunday Lunch always has an air of something special about it – whether it’s a family get-together, special celebration or simply an excuse to spoil yourself.

A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

Hotel Du Vin Harrogate is located close to the town centre, overlooking The Stray, a magnificent 200-acre common.

Lovely hotel but found room rather stuffy. We turned radiator off but couldn’t leave window open because of traffic noise. Could have done with two chairs in room. Bed comfortable and bathroom nice. Breakfast nice but you have to cook your own toast and get your own drinks. Coffee from machine wasn’t nice. I would have preferred a cafetière or, even better, a proper Italian coffee machine! Staff lovely.

My partner was taken ill and the hotel were amazing at looking after him whilst an ambulance was called, they allowed him to leave his car in a bay when he went to hospital, it was gone midnight when he was discharged so we booked a room and stayed the night. Room was amazing, like a suite with separate lounge. Huge comfy bed with a rooltop bath in the room. Massive bathroom with wetroom. Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on service or food as had a 3 hour drive home but would def stay there again. Really lovely hotel
