Enjoy the luxury of a leisurely morning with a delicious breakfast or weekend brunch at Old Government House Hotel.

Enjoyed in the sunny Brasserie Restaurant or al fresco in The Olive Grove, breakfast is served daily. The Executive Chef ensures that the finest seasonal local produce is used throughout our extensive breakfast menu.

From a traditional full English breakfast through to homemade buckwheat granola, there is something for everyone, whether you like to start the day with a hearty meal or a lighter bite. Invigorating juices, such as 'The Mighty' (cucumber, kale, broccoli, spinach, and lemon) are a refreshing accompaniment to breakfast or opt for a glass of Champagne or a delicious Bloody Mary.

For Sunday Lunch, the Executive Head Chef has created a collection of delicious seasonal menus with daily specials on offer. The Brasserie is popular with the hotel guests but also a favourite with our local community and a popular meeting place for those who want to catch up with friends over a glass of wine and a light bite.

An outstanding hotel stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, the service was the best we’ve ever experienced anywhere! Our Queen double room was very comfortable, everything you’d expect at a high quality hotel. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, favourites were the hot and cold seafood platter and fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection. We also had afternoon tea which we thoroughly enjoyed. The wine list is extensive but it is expensive. The hotel is a five minute walk from the centre of St Peter Port, ideal for shopping and exploring the island by bus. A thoroughly enjoyable five night break.

We had dinner at the curry room. Coming from South Africa we were expecting it to be good.....but oh my word! It was heavenly! Our waitress was lovely and so helpful! Thank you to Shaminee and Krysta wo also helped make an effort to make sure me and mom would love it! I will be back at least once a week for a curry now!

In need of some TLC. Room had some cheap fittings, wasn’t the cleanest and generally felt neglected. Spa area also pretty rundown, felt very dated and not luxury. Careful with booking the ‘Gourmet Escape’ - we weren’t told where it would be, asked, was shown to brasserie and then had to also ask how it worked. No one really knew what the prepaid 3 course dinner was. Proceeded to be handed a tennerfest menu (cheaper) which would have made us out of pocket by pre booking. Manage to rectify on check out at reception and staff generally helpful. Great location in town and good breakfast but ultimately not a 5* hotel.
