The Crown at Ampney Brook is a lovingly restored 16th century inn nestled in the Cotswolds countryside. Always ready with a warm welcome, they take pride in serving quality, seasonal menus that champion our local farms and producers, as well as great wines by the glass and proper cocktails. Elevate your brunch with bottomless drinks and enjoy complimentary bottomless roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings with your Sunday Lunches.

Food and drink is our pride and joy. The seasonal, farm-to-table menus are inspired by the idyllic Cotswolds surroundings, focusing on top quality meats, fish and vegetables sourced as locally as possible.

At the centre of the action is the open copper kitchen, where chefs cook up hearty dishes such as ribeyes on a Robata Grill, as well as jazzed up classics like prawn cocktails and crème brulées. Sit up at the bar to watch our cocktail shakers mix classic and bespoke recipes, or take advantage of the enomatic machine and get stuck into our fine wines by the glass.

We have something for everyone, whether you’re after a casual weekday lunch in the pub, dinner at the chef’s table or a party inone of the private dining rooms or alfresco domes.

Firstly, the location and property are gorgeous. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was great, and would give 10 stars for that if I could. Head and shoulders above most of the places we have visited in the Cotswolds, especially as you usually get one of the three.. great surrounds, good food and great service. Here you get all 3! Will definitely be back, and if we were closer this would be our local!

A lovely place for dinner. We had the festive menu and was impressed with the starters but felt a little underwhelmed by the main and dessert. The Turkey was a bit too fussy. A nicely cooked roast would have been great but this was a roulade and a confit leg bon bon. Both a little dry and lacking any outstanding flavour. The lemon tart was nothing different to a shop bought one but the blackberry sorbet was delicious. The food was generally lovely but we would have expected slightly more for the price. We’d go back to try the standard menu as the atmosphere and service was brilliant.

Lovely place. Food very good. (Some parts excellent some jist ok). Pricy but you know what you are paying for. Service- depends who is serving you. We had been sat at the table and nobody came to take our order fpr a very long time. The same happened to a couple that were sitting near us. We had to go and find a person so they took our orders. Service once arrived was helpful but this chasing made us feel we were forgotten and not important. Pub itself is really, really nice. Interior is very nice desighned, indoors and outdoors area is stunning. Shame there are no hooks to hung coats. Because hunging winter coats ging on chairs is not comfortable and not good to keep coat in a good shape. No room to put hats etc. Overal I would recommend this place and I will come back.
