Popped in for Breakfast. Well it had been years since I had been to a TC. I must admit I was not expecting much! However, I was very pleased with the offerings. Food was great, hot and fresh, tea and coffee was fine. The staff is most attentive as well. It was an excellent start to the day and after a couple of hours drive beforehand the breakfast was well needed. Very reasonably priced too. Will I be going back - yes!

We visited on Saturday 28-09-2024 and were served by Jordan W (and were given raffle ticket 785 to encourage this review!). The restaurant has been refurbished, all the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was cooked to a turn and quickly replenished as it ran down. The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful for a Saturday afternoon. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to going again.

It's been a while since I ate at a Toby, not for any other reason than we don't have one that close to us. But as we were in Swindon for the afternoon, a carvery sounded good. We were sat quite quickly, and sent straight up for our carvery. All 5 meats (pork, gammon, beef, turkey and lamb) looked good, and choosing the beef and gammon was a good choice. The beef was melt-in-the-mouth, and the gammon was salty in just the right way. The veg was all very good - although I'm probably not going to put mac & cheese on a roast in the near future… The tastes don't really complement each other! All in all, a good meal, in a great atmosphere.
