First time at this Carvery. Lucky to get in as this is usually well booked. Wasn’t disappointed, service, cleanliness and food all very good. Coffee under a “vegetarian gravy “ sign, but still very good. Would recommend and come back, if time and space available, when booking.

It's really nice food and not too busy for a city pub. There was plenty of parking and room to sit outside for a drink. The inside was quite large and had plenty of seating. There was no wiring for the carvery, and you basically get your meal, and a member of staff will add it to your table number. There are five choices of meat on a weekend and also have the option for a meat free carvery, We had spent the day out so opted for a desert but unfortunately there was no ice cream. Would definitely be back when in Edinburgh again.

Absolutely awful ...we visit here often and this was the worst it has ever been. Place was dead and yet no one came to seat us or a couple in front . They decided to seat themselves and we did the same. Were offered drinks once seated and never saw a waitress again our entire time that we were there. No offers of starters, desserts etc...we could have actually walked out without paying if we were that way inclined...we did pay tho by having to go up to the bar.Service shockingly bad. Food....OMG....the lamb was so dry i wouldnt have even given it as scrap, had to wait an age on the veg being refreshed and by this time my meat and yorkie were cold...another of the customers actually shouted over to me that i had waited so long that i would need to microwave it...she wasnt wrong. The sprouts were actually sticking to the side of the serving dish...disgusting Overall its not a place we plan on visiting again😡
