End the week in style at Hawksmoor Edinburgh, a sophisticated steak restaurant with a stunning Sunday Roast.

Just a short walk from St Andrews Square, Hawksmoor manages to create a tranquil atmosphere to enjoy their food, being set back slightly along a quiet street.

Best known as a steak and seafood restaurant, Hawksmoor have honed and tweaked their Sunday Roast to perfection, part-cooked over charcoal and served with all the trimmings – beef dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots & garlic and lashings of bone marrow and onion gravy.

The interior has a regal grandeur that will take you back in time, though the low lighting and leather upholstery are thoroughly modern.

Waverley Station is just around the corner, a couple of minutes away from Hawksmoor.

We had our Sunday roast here and it was one of the best we have had. The Yorkshire pudding was tasty and the beef tenderly cooked. The service was excellent and the vibe of the place was enjoyable as well. A classy location but casual and inviting. We also ordered a salad which again was just right from a freshness and flavour perspective. Highly recommended!

Traditional Steakhouse in an impressive atmosphere. The steaks are good but I already had better ones but you definitely can go there if you want a good portion of meat. It is a little bit too loud which makes it hard to really have a relaxed dinner but the service was outstanding

Comfortably the best steak we have had in Edinburgh. The staff here were truly welcoming and kind. Very attentive. The starters were superb also. The prime rib cooked rare is a must try, albeit on the expensive side - but you pay for the quality. The peppercorn sauce was particularly good.
