5.02 weeks agoOne of the nicest places to stay along the beach, we came for an overnight birthday getaway, met with a lovely girl on reception, our room was ready straight away which is always a bonus! We strolled along the beach and took in the gorgeous views, we came back for a beer in the bar which was lovely and relaxing as it wasn't that busy, food was great also. The only one fault I would give is the service was a bit slow & we would have to go the bar rather than table service but I would not take this away from our stay. The next morning we had breakfast and as we were handed our food the electricity and power went due to the storm. The staff were so helpful even though they were extremely stressed, they even placed little candles on our table which made our brekkie a very romantic one! Would highly recommend this hotel for a lovely get away, can't wait to come in the summer & experience the BBQ which the manager said is brilliant.

1.0a month agoWe stayed in 7 different accommodations over 7 nights, and while I hesitate to even mention this place in the same sentence as the others—each of the other 6 being absolutely excellent—this one was beyond awful. If zero stars were an option, that would have been our rating. The single star we were forced to give is solely for the staff, who were friendly and quick to offer us a different room. They were kind and attentive, and none of the blame for the dreadful state of the hotel falls on them. Unfortunately, even they couldn’t save what was an absolutely awful experience. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. Old and worn-out is one thing, but dirty and foul-smelling is something else entirely—and completely unacceptable. From the moment we entered the hallway, we were hit by a terrible odor. It was obvious that the management was aware of the problem, as they had tried (and failed) to cover it up with air freshener, making the smell even more unbearable. Our first room smelled just as bad, and airing it out didn’t help. Everything was dusty, stains in the carpet and the bathroom was filthy: there were stains on the floor, buildup on the fixtures, toothpaste splatters, hair on the sink and in the bathtub, and grime everywhere. It was simply disgusting. The staff was kind enough to offer us a new room, but even there, the smell persisted, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The smell was so unpleasant that we had to leave the balcony door open all night—in the middle of January, despite the cold—just to make it bearable. We didn’t try the breakfast, so we can’t comment on it, but frankly, after such an experience, we doubt anyone could eat a bite here. We spent just one night at this hotel and can’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. Perhaps they stayed in a different place entirely, because this was nothing short of a nightmare. In all our travels, we have never stayed in a place this bad. Even budget hostels charging 20 euros per night were far cleaner and more comfortable. Charging such high prices for such poor quality is outrageous and completely unjustified. We were left deeply horrified and would strongly advise others to stay away from this hotel!!

5.02 months agoShoreline Hotel has an excellent coastal location as a resort. The roaring waves actually calmed down our hearts and souls when we heard the bustling and exhilarating whistling and hissing breeze in our sleep. The breakfast was sumptuous and meticulously crafted to perfection. No complaints at all for its location and hospitality.
