Hit and Miss Carvery. This pub / restaurant is local to me and I've been many times over the years . Couples , Christmas parties , family and friends type visits . I review because the food standard on my last visit was the worst I've experienced. The beef was fatty and the veg had dried out . On previous visits the food has been good and the price represents good value . Drinks are good value too. Staff have always been friendly and polite . Pub / restaurant offers plenty of parking , large car park at the rear . Plenty of wc's . Good location on Bawtry road . Timing is everything !

Food was lovely, seems fresher than previous visits we have had. The carver Dan was really nice and chatty with people and very knowledgeable and our server Emma was lovely, she was quick, efficient and very attentive :) both a credit to the company & not a bad priced visit either.

Visited on a Thursday for evening meal. Booked beforehand and on arrival quickly shown to our table and drinks order taken. We had the carvery option which was served by a welcoming, chatty chef. Meat portions were reasonable, large Yorkshire puddings and plenty of vegetables available and of course their gravy. A very tasty, filling meal and on the day, at half the normal price. A bargain.
