Set in this quaint Ribble Valley village, Freemasons at Wiswell provides a slice of country refinement with a twist of contemporary creativity and flair. Their aim is to provide the ultimate gastronomic experience in a stylish pub setting that feels as relaxed as your own front room.

Flag stone floors, walls in muted heritage colours, antique rugs and furniture, period paintings and prints all unite to create a stylish and comfortable setting. The bar has an excellent selection of traditional cask conditioned ales from award-winning independent breweries and is complemented by a superb cellar with over 250 wines from around the world.

While the surroundings and welcome are inviting, the main reason to visit is, of course, the food. Steven Smith has created a unique and diverse menu that perfectly matches the style and atmosphere. Visit on a Sunday for one of the hearty roasts, featuring options such as 60 day aged roasted sirloin of Lancashire beef served with all the trimmings. There are also an array of starters, enough to satisfy all those Sunday roast cravings.

Set amongst rolling hills, and breathtaking picturesque valleys, Freemasons is located in Ribble Valley, nestled in the medieval village of Wiswell, just south of Clitheroe.

Absolutely loved this bar and restaurant, we went on a Sunday for a 3 course meal and the food was excellent. Great flavours, cooked incredibly well, and great selection of dishes. The fish and poached egg starter was my favourite. The service was also excellent, particularly from Andrew! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!! The town (hamlet) it's in is also beautiful.

Went here for Sunday lunch with a group of friends. Greeting from the staff was friendly and reassuring showing us to our dining room. We were served a pre starter dish which was excellent and then all three courses were all first class. Only tiny gripe is that the wine is pricey, £15 a glass for one but I cannot comment on the quality but I would assume it's very good because everything else is. Would recommend
